Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Keto Kit ("we," "us," or "our") regarding your use of the Keto Kit mobile application (the "App"), our website, and all related services (collectively, the "Services"). By downloading, installing, or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our Services. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of our Services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
Use of Our Services
Permitted Use
You may use our Services to:
- Track your food intake, macronutrients, and daily nutrition
- Use the intermittent fasting timer and metabolic stage tracking
- Browse, save, and cook recipes for personal, non-commercial use
- Interact with our AI-powered keto coach for dietary information
- Participate in gamification features including quests, XP, levels, and achievements
- Log and track water intake, weight, and health metrics
- Share content through our provided sharing features
- Subscribe to premium features and updates
Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Copy, reproduce, or redistribute our content for commercial purposes
- Use automated systems to scrape or download our content
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or servers
- Submit false or misleading information
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
Account and Data
You may be required to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Your food logs, fasting records, health metrics, and other data you enter into the App are stored securely. You retain ownership of your personal data and may request its deletion at any time by contacting us.
Subscriptions and Payments
Keto Kit offers both free and premium subscription plans. If you choose to subscribe to a premium plan:
- Payment will be charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
- You can manage and cancel your subscription through your device's app store settings
- No refunds will be provided for any unused portion of a subscription period, except where required by applicable law
Free features (including food logging, fasting timer, recipes, gamification, and the dashboard) will remain free and are not contingent on a subscription.
Content and Intellectual Property
Our Content
All content in our App and on our website, including recipes, photographs, text, graphics, logos, icons, UI designs, and software, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
User-Generated Content
If you submit content to us (such as custom recipes, feedback, reviews, or suggestions), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, modify, and display such content for the purpose of operating and improving our Services.
Recipe Usage
You may use our recipes for personal cooking and sharing with family and friends. Commercial use of our recipes requires our written permission. When sharing our recipes, please provide appropriate attribution.
AI-Powered Features
Our App includes AI-powered features such as the Keto Coach, photo food recognition, and voice logging. These features provide convenience and informational assistance but:
- AI-generated responses and food recognition results may not always be accurate and should be verified by you
- AI features are not a substitute for professional medical, nutritional, or dietary advice
- We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated content
Privacy and Data
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using our Services, you consent to our privacy practices as described in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers and Limitations
Health and Medical Disclaimer
Keto Kit is a tracking and informational tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The ketogenic diet may not be suitable for everyone. Always consult with a qualified healthcare professional before starting any diet, fasting regimen, or making significant changes to your eating habits, especially if you have any pre-existing medical conditions, are pregnant, or are taking medication.
Nutritional Information
Nutritional information provided — including macronutrient counts, calorie estimates, and Keto Scores — is approximate and for informational purposes only. Data is sourced from third-party food databases and AI recognition, and may contain inaccuracies. We recommend consulting with a healthcare professional or registered dietitian for specific dietary guidance.
Fasting Information
Metabolic stage indicators (Fed, Transition, Fat Burn, Ketosis, Autophagy) shown in the fasting timer are estimates based on general research and are not personalized medical measurements. Individual metabolic responses vary significantly. Do not rely on these indicators for medical decisions.
Recipe Information
While we strive to provide accurate and tested recipes, we cannot guarantee that all recipes will meet every dietary requirement. Users are responsible for:
- Checking ingredients for allergies and dietary restrictions
- Following food safety guidelines
- Adapting recipes as needed for their specific circumstances
Service Availability
We provide our Services "as is" and cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our Services at any time without notice.
